Question for you guys that shoot with Air Rifles I currently work at an Airfield in Operations,a big part of our duties is bird control, we use various means to disperse birds. Shotgun, Bird Scaring cartridges, and Digital Scarecrow. Problem we have is that the Birds (Corvids mainly) are so used to the Ops vehicle that we cant always get close enough to shoot them. We are looking to add a FAC Air Rifle on to the Air Field ticket for taking longer shots, question I have is ? can we use this from a stationary vehicle, I have been told that we can as long as the permission is granted by the Police, is this correct

Stalking on the hill would be my 1st choice, followed by a morning flighting Ducks

Sounds like a plan -
I tend to use Realtree clothing when im out and about, then again it's mainly Deerstalking I do these days, I find when im on the hill the Realtree blends in very nicely, then again I have walked up to within 30 yrds on a Roe in a open field, dont think it matters all that much what your wearing as long as it blends in.

I have done a few over the years, cut around base of the tail with a sharp knife pull back the skin and get 2 bits of stick/wood and place then either side of the of the incision on the tail, holding onto the 2 bits of wood firmly pull the skin away from the flesh/bone its a bit fiddly to do but once you get the hang of it you can skin a tail in seconds.

Used 1 a couple of years ago there is a big Rookery in a wood next to 1 of my permissions, I used to put it out just after the young rooks had fledged, the wee ******* used to come down and mob it big style
