Well I disagree with you GHE. I get regular updates via e mails from BASC as to what is going on and only this morning received a full response to the Coroners report etc regarding the complete mis management of Devon and Cornwall Police. If their Chief Constable had any morals he/she would resign as would any head of a company in charge of a similar disaster.Someone other than the enquiring officer actually signed that certificate off and they should also go in my view. They are almost getting away with manslaughter. There is no grey area here, he was a known nutter BUT not one person in charge of this country seems to care a wick

....or is it down to shooters reading up all this garbage about 30 + gram canon loads to kill pheasant and partridge and super dooper all singing dancing chokes for their guns BUT this last season I have had more pheasants that I have had to bin because of excessive damage to the meat. One cock bird had eleven shot holes in the breast meat and they looked like #4s and four of the shot had almost gone in the same hole. The meat was unusable other than fox bait. I cuess I have had to throw away about a third of the game mainly pheasants I have brought home this last season. I normally bring home two or three brace each time, so that was probably fifty to sixty birds overall. OR is it down to new live game shooters coming onto the field and shooting at birds much too close. I have seen clouds of feathers on a few occasions. My wife who stands with me sometimes will ask why I did not shoot and I explaon I judged it to be too close and I would blow it to pieces. A bit of a semi rant I know but it is important that game meat that goes to dealers is not ruined and the genral public should be introduced to some excellent protein.

My neighbour up the road said that a hen sparrow hawk was sitting a'top he bird feeder...one of those multi hangin frames. Just hunched up absolutely motionless. She did not realise it was a hen bird until I explaoned how small the cock bird was in comparison. She loves her birds but was not concerned and accepted that was nature in the raw.
The birds on my feeders by the house are very nervous so I am sure the hawk has swung by a couple of times recently. I know we have one maybe two pairs locally.

I have not joined this converstaion before, as from the start I said she had gone in the river either accidentally or by preferance. As said bodies sink and in cold conditions can take up to three to four weeks before coming up due to the decomposition gases bringing them up. NOT a nice job for the crew recovering, I have been there a few times myself as both coroners officer and local bobby. Terrible for those two youngsters. They are going to need a lot of care and attention in the next few years.

I have been hitting them early..they seem to appear about 7.45 -8am at the moment although only one appeared on the pear tree this morning.. probabbly because a dozen or more have departed this world in the last month.
Crashing tree rat numbers certainly increases both small bird and woodpeckers in a wood but remember woodpeckers also like baby birds.

I have the 4x4 version and well pleased, even in two wheel it will go most sensible places. Loads of room and I am averaging 49.7mpg at the moment country lanes and off road.

Today I had to attend Leicester Ruyal Infirmary for an eye examination, it had taken their 'management since early October to arrange this simple half hour visit. I attended in trepidation but found out...as I believed from the start.... the sharp end are doing their best. From the moment I walked into the door I was met by polite smiling staff only too ready to help me navigate myself through this large building. Every time I hesitated a nurse would stop and give me directions. The staff dealing with my problem also where top hole.
It confirmed my belief that the problems with the NHS stem from appauling miss managementand there is a need for a root and branch cull, replaced by those who know how to run a business.
I have yet to hear of a Nationalised Industry which is actually succesful. Just finance will NOT olve the problem.
Unfortunately the Police Service has gone down the sam route.

Worth making enquiries about dipping the legs. That would clean it off fully rust and all back to bare metal.

Was warned early that shoot days will probably be higher next season but seeing that prices where held very reasonable this year that is to be expected.
Still bird flu lurking about with an article in the Telegraph about it spreading to animals and maybe humans. Hope it is all hogwash media hype as was the fact that the UK was to be BLANKETED in snow this last two weeks and we here in the Midlands have had some fantastic weather.

Simple answer NO.
The answer by Fellside is also correct because of course your brain can judge some very small incidents indeed and a bird at 20yrds is almost instant boot that computer we all carry in our sculls...well almost all considering somes behaviour... will see that very slight pause on a long shot, not that I worry myself about things like that when just trying to put it in the pattern

The other two are sold subject to collection. I purchased the Stihl but don't ask me what model, all I know is on it's first charge it is still cutting. Cut a stack of 3x3s for starting wood...weasy peasy. Trimmed back a willow overhanging a field with some about 5 inches. Cut some large 8 - 9 inch logs in half for the log burner....still cutting. When I purchased it I naturallt asked about a second spare battery and was told to take the saw and see just how much work it could do on one charge. I don't see me needing a second battery.
I'll check on the model for you and put it on here later.

Be precise and work from known loading details. Also I always get away from all other distractions when loading. The same applies to all gauges.
I have dealt with Folkestone Engineering and Clay & Game and they both supply the load details as well as all the components. Clay & Game do a delivery service as well.
