I've renewed both my SGL and FAC - the extension runs out in 3 days ! I've tried calling (Staffs) and they don't answer the phone, I've left a message but no reply as yet I gave the Dr my forms and £70 I presumed they'd emailed / sent it weeks ago but they text me yesterday to say I could collect it - surely that's not right ? I think I only reapplied 4 weeks before my cert was up and had an almost 4 MONTH extension but unknown to me nothing has happened Can I request a Section 7 ?

Sharp Innova £185 .22 Air Rifle Bullworker Used - Average Condition Cast: - Scope Make: None Licence: None Required Mark (Private Seller) Kenilworth, Warwickshire 07775913396 Message Seller adarmo See Other Items Edit Listing Mark as Sold / Delete Listing Description Sharp Innova .22 I've owned this for 30+ years and have shot less than 1000 pellets through it, it's in good working order. When I was a teenager I made a pistol grip for it and stained it black - I gave it a quick rub down years later hence the fore end is darker then the original stock. The pistol grip is included but is "naive" The front of the plastic scope rail cracked from over tightening a scope - I glued it 20 years ago and it's fine you just have to mount the scope an inch back. Original sights are included Collection from Kenilworth preferred 190 views - no contacts is it too much ? I priced it off the only other one I can find for sale which is £245 on GunTrader

Cutting Down .22 LR Barrel - Does It Have To Be Re Proofed ?
adarmo replied to adarmo's topic in Guns & Equipment
Final question - who can I get to do the work ? It's only a cheap CZ 511 hence not wanting to re proof I'm near Coventry / Warwick. I've seen Benjamin Wild in Birmingham recommended so I'll give him a call - any others ? -
Cutting Down .22 LR Barrel - Does It Have To Be Re Proofed ?
adarmo replied to adarmo's topic in Guns & Equipment
I called the gunshop and it seems I misunderstood. The issue wasn't the cutting down it was re threading the barrel afterwards. But I've seen a thread on here with a legal case stating that it is not required - I presume that still stands -
Cutting Down .22 LR Barrel - Does It Have To Be Re Proofed ?
adarmo replied to adarmo's topic in Guns & Equipment
I have a friend who works there - he says it is correct - but he would, because of course he only sees the guns that have been submitted for re proofing ! I agree - if anything it might reduce it but the laws rarely follow sense IMO. -
EU Semi Auto Gun Ban - Affecting .22LR ?
adarmo replied to adarmo's topic in General Shooting Matters
The problem being that the search can't cope with the word "ban" making any threads hard to find ! -
I enquired about a .22LR semi auto that a Gunshop was selling and they told me that they weren't stocking any semi autos due to the impending ban. They mentioned it was on Fieldsports Britain last week. I've googled and can't find the programme nor any info other than a proposed ban on certain centre fire semi autos Can anyone offer any more information ?

Adding .22LR To "Shotgun" Firearms Cert
adarmo replied to adarmo's topic in General Shooting Matters
Just thought I'd update this, it was granted without an issue but with the condition that I shoot from an elevated position. Thanks -
Adding .22LR To "Shotgun" Firearms Cert

But I thought the land on which you use a gun had to be agreed too. I agree "shooting rabbits in my garden from an upstairs window" sounds dodgy but my garden is 2 acres . -
Adding .22LR To "Shotgun" Firearms Cert

I've just googled some more - the first site I read was wrong - I own a Remington 5 shot semi auto which means it is a Class 1 So hopefully a simple process. Thanks -
Adding .22LR To "Shotgun" Firearms Cert

Thanks It was more to sound out what others shooters thought. I added the Army bit because I didn't want people to go on about Firearms are different to shotguns, join a club etc -
Adding .22LR To "Shotgun" Firearms Cert

Ah having now googled Section 1 and 2 Firearms I see what you mean, so although I have a certificate saying "Firearms Certificate" it isn't a Section 1 Firearms Certificate
