I had a chestnut in the garden at last house that grew alongside a conifer hedge, I just chopped it back as I felt every year sometimes just pruning the leaders and every other year take out a big limb just so it didn't get carried away, also had an early flowering clematis growing up it, lovely tree if kept on top of

Just took some Conifer trees down, they grew into monsters..60ft..
Bloke next door had a 75ftr took down £850.
That is serious money for one tree..
Keep it manageable mate..
Wow think I am in the wrong job that seem a lot of money for a conifer

Thanks again Dougy, if you going to ask can you find out if he baits them and does he put them in the trees or on the ground, quite fancy one in the garden but would need to be up out of reach of kids and dog.

There is already another thread running on general pal

We were at Blackpool zoo today, watching the lions and tigers I've read a good few books on Africa where they describe a leopard attack lion or tiger( not Africa I know) or animals attack progs in America with a puma attacking people, think I would be thrilled to see a big cat in the wild but as I said above, Pee my pants stalking a rabbit and find a big cat 😥

Depends on time limits as well and how far from your house your looking to buy, my brother in law bought a house, got it cheap before it went on the market but has practically rebuilt it and its taken him a lot longer than he expected just about finished now but probably taken him a year and half.
Binge watch some home under the hammer they tell you what others have said read the legal pack look before you buy and know your budget.
Might find if you look at a different area you can get a better buy with less work needed down south lots more pennys for less house up north more house less work less money?
Good luck keep us posted

You and me both, I had several books out on British wildlife it was only when I went on woodland trust website I found out about the Spanish type, they weren't in my books ☹
-
By the time the protests demo's and paper work has been done it would either be country wide or everything with rabies would have died. 🙄
-
Yeah come on, id never heard of Spanish blue bells is it right

No such thing as bad publicity, people are talking about it which means he is being given the chance to air his views, probably new full well what was going to happen.
There was something on last year with M strachen I think on the same thing illegal bird trapping

the council built a swimming pool with a retractable roof where i live, it was totally unnecessary and cost £5million, it was built during the height of austerity, i can show you many more of these cutbacks if you like.......... are these the cuts you were referring to?
That's definitely silly not like were in Spain, quite how a waste of money on the roof gets done is beyond me
-
It's all you hear people saying that the Tories have made cut backs but they had to it couldn't carry on the way it was.
The child services was one that affects me no doubt there are others.
It seems to be the only thing our local labour candidate can bring up poor chap
-
Well round here kids services got cut so play groups ran by the council went, used to be £1.50 for an hour and half really good for kids and mum
-
Old pigeon popper, don't be sorry you paint a lovely picture.
Thinking back I lived by a park with coal land over the other side of road and both sets of grand parents a half hour drive away in what always seemed perfect Countryside, lots of bird song trees open land to wander and "what's round that corner" thank my dad for that one ☺
-
Well no one is happy about the cut backs put in place they affect most people somehow but the way things were before the coalition with labour something had to change.
Haven't read todays paper yet bought one special to see what's been said, looking like an interesting couple of months.
Will the May local elections still go ahead?
Quick sale or not ?
