  1. I was considering the UK armed forces or Police or similar work. But considering that we just get sent into pointless wars now, Im not prepared to die for nothing. Trust me if we are under attack, il be there to defend and serve my country.. but I wont get sent of to cause more mess then good. Prehaps these foreign people have seen whats going on, and dont want to take part either. I just want a peaceful life, work hard, then play hard, enjoying my hobbies like shooting and climbing, and generally not bothering people who are doing the same. If only everyone in the world would realise we are all on the same lifeboat.. theres no good fighting and bickering.. if theres a hole, we will all go down. If we work together, we might just make it.. at 19 you aint worth talking to, what have you done nowt, whwat have you seen nowt ,get on a kiddies forum

  4. how many of these british loving imigrants are serving with our hard pressed armed forces? Answer = none thats how british they want to be. is that integrating? i think that says it all
  5. I took this from "How Stuff Works"! "You are right -- fans actually add heat to a room. One way to think about it is like this: If you have a perfectly insulated room and you put an electric fan in it, then the room will get warmer. All the electricity that is driving the fan turns directly into heat. So a fan does not cool the room at all. What a fan does is create a wind chill effect." Which is useless unless your dead deer still actively sweats! get a 24 inch floor fan stick it in a small shed with temp gauge then tell me the shed is warmer with the fan in then without. i got the idea from my knifemaking partner who has been stalking deer over 25 years he use's this method all year round as long as the fan is blowing on the meat ,i agree chill factor but in the middle of summer it will chill the meat and also keep flies off as they can't get near the meat, with you being in oz no one better placed to try it and report your findings
  6. Excuse my ignorance but all an air fan will do is circulate existing air, air vents top and bottom will allow infiltration or as we call it air changes per hour, and bringing in ambient air from outside can vary enormously depending on what time of year it is, is the guy proposing to "refrigerate" the space for the storage of fresh meat (0oC) or just create an hanging room at ambient temperature? I am interested to see how I can obtain 7oC or below without some sort of refrigeration, I could make millions if it could be achieved and accurately maintained and controlled. the speed of the fan not only circulates the air it cools it. so if your in your office and the temps in the 70's your desk fan will be blowing hot air at you to cool you down, think about it and try it
  7. the cheapest way is to make your own ,all it needs is to be a well insulated room with air vents top and bottom then buy one or two heavy duty 3 speed floor fans, a minimum and maximum digital thermometer use the fans speeds to get your ideal temperature 7 degress or below. job done
  8. don't they realise that nearly all the illegal handguns are coming from across the water, now the troubles are over, both sides have no need for them now, and can make mega money for something they no longer need, but our gangsters and drug dealers do and can afford to purchase them

  14. Hi all Just thought I'd share a cracking evening. Out last night with Paul, Jim and his son from Derby on my first wildfowl shoot. We arrived at 6pm at Weston on Trent Derby, started flagging the bottom of the barley stubble straight away as we'd been watching the geese for 2 days and where they were feeding was a bit too close to overlooking houses. So tried to decoy them to the top of the field for pr purposes. After flagging we placed the hide and decoys where we wanted to take them After setting up the first skien came in from behind us at about 7pm with brilliant calling from Paul and Jim. We didn't shoot them as they came in from behind and landed in the middle of the field Paul and Jim kept calling and skiens kept coming in none stop it was a wonder to watch. Below is a pic of the middle of the field, you can see the skien still coming in above the houses As they were all in the middle of the field Paul decided to walk them. Then all hell broke loose. They were coming in at us about 4ft off the ground and as I am green to this sort of thing didn't know which one to shoot as there were that many I took my first shot and missed but took the 2nd and 3rd killing a bird with each shot B) believe me there must have been 200 geese plus coming over the top of us in what seemed to be a split second. My first experience of this sort of decoying and I will definitely be doing it again. After all the shooting it went clear till just before dusk then another 2 skiens came in and we nailed a few more. Total at the end of the evening was....... you all have a laugh 10 canadas and 1 greylag Have set it up to go again Saturday evening, I wont be shooting, I will be videoing so I could post it for you all to see And just for the record I shot 3 in total but one of the best evenings for me Cheers Bernie
