  1. Hi all! Not sure about your shiney new L200's but my 21 year old (1988) is still running. Maybe not as glossy as yours, but still getting from A to B, on or off road. Also, previous to this i ran a 88, Shogun, 2.5 LWB, A 94 Shogun, 2.8 TD, LWB, A 94, Shogun, 3.0 V6, LWB & am presently running along side my L200, a 94 Pajero 2.8 swb no probs for last 4 years. This lot covers 20 years motoring with nothing but a clutch on the v6 & brake pads on them all. YOU ONLY HAVE ONE LIFE GET A MITSUBISHI!!!!!
  2. Hi MM, if you are still after larsen trap plans, PM me your email & i will atatch plans back to you. Cheers, Terry.
  3. Well done you lot!!!! I gave up 18 months ago after 34 years smokin. would love to say i feel better & i am over the cravings, but sadly i dont feel any better & the odd craving still has me biting my nails. I, will not give in though, as the cravings only last a few seconds & finding something to do helps you forget. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! :o Cheers, Terry.
  4. Hi Lowlander, i got one of those on my .17 hmr & i can't fault it. Mine cost £110 last October from my RFD, so its either a fake or a bargain. Cheers! Terry.
  5. Hi all, just wondering what price are you paying for your .17hmr ammo at the moment? Went into my RFD yesterday & payed £12.50 a box for 17gr Winchester V-MAX & £13.50 for Hornady 20gr XTP. The last time i bought some they were £10.00 a box, am i being ripped off? Cheers, Terry.
  6. My apologies for not noting your comment above but i still wouldn't recomend swinging a rifle at anything in this country other than them tin ducks on the fairground air gun range. Just my opinion, but rather safe than sorry.
  7. Yes the hmr bullet on 99% of occasions would stop, expand, disintegrate, but it depends on the ground, angle, backstop. When following a ground target, of this size, at speed, in this country, not Africa or any other wide open space where back stops do not matter, in the heat of the moment, can you be sure of all these factors? I don't think so!!!! If you can't be 100% sure, don't do it.
  8. I hope there is nobody around my way waving a .17hmr around at running targets. I own one & know what they can do. I would not be happy seeing it, i bet your firearms oficer wouldn't either. If you told him you wanted to shoot running hares with it on your application i don't think you would be holding a licence. Just my opinion but hope you never shoot down my way. Sorry if you think i am being over cautious but i just don't think there is room in this country for people to be waving rifles around.
  9. That 150 yrd group from a few years back is impressive.
  10. Not been tweaked yet, just straight out of box, checked barrel was free floating & away we went. Have bought a trigger kit for it but not fitted yet. Cheers.
  11. Tommo, at 25 yrds i can do the same with my air rifle & also my friends .22 lr, but .17hmr at 100 yrds is a totally diferent ball game. A .22lr sub or a .22 pellet that is 1/4" out at 25 yrds is way off target at 100yrds. The rifle i am using is not an Anschutz(spelling?)match rifle, but a bog standard CZ Varmint 16" + mod (one of the cheapest rifles around, although excellent in my opinion). Cheers, Terry.
  12. I know, I know, Pics were taken with my old phone camera as the batteries in the digicam were dead. Will try & do better next time Lord Lichfield! B)
  13. It would be nice, but boring if they did.
  14. Cheers!! Yes! seen the post. Wouldn't dream of shooting anything running with the rifle, got a shottie for that.
  15. Cheers! Was well pleased. Hopefully i can do it again.
  16. Been out this afternoon for a practice with the CZ Varmint .17hmr at 100 yards. Weather was sunny with no wind. Shot 5, 5 shot groups, 3 of which were within an inch. This was the best one. 3/8" x 5/8" My best so far.
  17. Would love to hear the un moderated sound of Evil Elvis avatar. More of a slapping sound rather than a crack, i think due to the subsonic movement.
  18. I have a Wildcat Whisper & wouldn't change it for anything else. It totally silences the muzzle blast, (all i hear is the firing pin click) then the crack from the round going supersonic out there somewhere. Not cheap, but works well, excellent engineering, easily stripable & looks better than the rest. I got mine for £110.00 through local RFD. Cheers, Terry.
  19. My Lurcher did my front & rear seats + headrests, steering wheel, dashboard & door pannels on my Shogun on fireworks night then, steering wheel & seats in my Berlingo Van 1st time out shooting & steering wheel of my old L200 pickup when zeroing my rifle. AND HE IS STILL ALIVE!
  20. Hi, i have a QB 78 (co2) that i have to screw up tight, then fire it to pierce the bulbs. If not, unscrew 1/2 turn to release pressure into the chamber. Screw it in,fire it, then unscrew it. It should stop hissing almost imediately. Cheers, Terry.
  21. Bettinsolli, as good a gun as any you mention & you'll get a 5 year warranty for less than £600. Wouldn't sell mine for what i paid for it. Will give it to the kids as they will appreciate it for what it is, "a cracking gun". Why waste your money? Why pay for a name? If you know where to put your shot it will do you as good as any best brand. Although i could afford a better gun, i would rather spend my money putting cartridges through it, than looking at it and saying, i've got a nice looking gun, but i wish i could hit something with it !!!! Cheers!

  23. Hi Supersonic, if you are still looking for a CZ manual, give me your email address & i'll send it. Would have posted it online but file too big. Cheers, Terry.
  24. Hi Dan, got it from Avalon guns, Asked Andy Whitemore what his best price was by email & that's what he came back with. I agreed to it & he sent it to my local RFD before i had even paid for it. Excellent service, excellent gun. Cheers, Terry.
  25. CZ for me! I got the 16" varmint with wildcat whisperer mod, Niko Sterling 4-16 x 50 . Excellent rifle Scope could be improved but can't believe any rifle could be more accurate than this or need cost any more than this. Have heard some people have trouble with barrel touching stock (worth checking before buying) but not in my case. Rifle has been excellent, straight out of box, scope & mod fitted, zero'ed & shooting bang on every time i take it out. BUY ONE! Terry.
