I've just got back in from picking sloe's and these ones are perfect. They say wait until the first frost to pick them but we might not have a frost for another 7 or 8 weeks so I'm filling my boots now.

A bit expensive mate, you can buy a pack of ten new ones for £20.

There was a small tear in one of the boots but this has been repaired and are totally waterproof. A couple of stains on them(will probably wash out) but these are hardly noticable. Price reduced, now £450 and that's a bargain for this gun. I took this gun to my local gunshop last week and he offered me £450 for it and he'd have probably put it up for £525-£550. So I thought I'd sell it on here first.

I have an AYA no.4 in very good condition,tight action and choked at 1/2 and 3/4(I think). It's sat in my cabinet doing nothing so would like to swap it for a semi-auto. I'm hopefully gonna do a lot of pigeon shooting this year so would like a camouflaged gun if possible for the hide. The AYA is worth about £375 so anything about that value would be ideal as I really don't want to part with any cash. Maybe an Escort with a hide and decoys etc. would be a good swap. They are very good eating, not a lot of meat but tasty all the same.

I'm going to change the oil filter on my Landy so I'm gonna put new oil in. My Landy is a non turbo (na) 2.5 diesel so which oil will I need and how much.

I've owned a Japenese 4x4 and there's nothing more boring, it's just another 4x4. The landrover is an iconic vehicle known the world over, thats it's appeal, it's a classic car. If we all went for reliability, fuel consumption, price etc. it would be a pretty sad, boring place. We'd all be driving the same car in the same clothes, shooting the same guns with the same dogs etc. I think the vast majority of us who buy a Landy know what to expect, so we really don't need smart ***** telling us they leak, rattle, uncomfortable etc. We already know that.

Maybe it's about time this act was ammended(game act 1831). Every Gamekeeper I know, catches up at the end of the season, probably been doing so for 170 years since the act was introduced. If they had to catch up during the shooting season they'd lose the last couple of weeks of the season trying to catch up. I think a lot of the laws on shooting and gamekeeping need looking at(this one for example) and bringing up to date.
