Heladoxa
I would say type it out, get him to sign it and get it signed also by a witness, otherwise for all he knows he could have signed his farm over to you. On second thoughts ..............

Frenchieboy
Not too sure how the Firearms Office work in your area but when I sent off for the FAC application forms my area office sent me some "Police Land Authorisation Forms" to use. These can be photocopied and are by far the best type of form to use for written permission. If you can get some of these read the form out to the farmer and help him to fill it in then all you have to do is ask him to sign it! If you do not have any of these forms available I can scan and send one to you as an attachmeny to your e-mail address but you will have to remember that mine are marked as "Lancashire Ploice Authority". You could however use one of these to create your own "Land Authority Form" Hope this helps.
