JonD
Hi All, I'll be back up home at Christmas and was wondering if anyone knows of any grounds that are open over Christmas. I'll be based in Macclesfield but can travel Jon.

Chard
I think there's usually quite a lot going on in the clay shooting calendar round Christmas. There's usually Boxing Day shoots on at quite a few grounds. I'm sure Worsley usually has one. I expect I'll be at Catton Hall on 27th Edited October 25, 2009 by Chard

100milesaway
The Victory shoot is usually on at Hodnet, the best ground in the country. This is usually really busy with upwards of 200 shooters but I remember getting there once at 9-00 and shooting the last stand at 11-15. It's normally 100 birds and on sometime midweek between xmas and new year. from Auntie

100milesaway
Not for the Victory shoot , it's on a book in only basis and you have to be quick once you see the advert in the press, as they have a limited amount of entries, obviously due to the December fading light and the vast amount of people who want to shoot it. It is a superb shooting ground that does not normally hold any regular shoots and not a trap in sight. Not to be missed. Book in early. From Auntie.
