I think there's usually quite a lot going on in the clay shooting calendar round Christmas. There's usually Boxing Day shoots on at quite a few grounds. I'm sure Worsley usually has one.

I expect I'll be at Catton Hall on 27th :good:

The Victory shoot is usually on at Hodnet, the best ground in the country. This is usually really busy with upwards of 200 shooters but I remember getting there once at 9-00 and shooting the last stand at 11-15. It's normally 100 birds and on sometime midweek between xmas and new year. from Auntie :good::good::good:

Hodnet is on my to do list :good::rolleyes:

Not for the Victory shoot , it's on a book in only basis and you have to be quick once you see the advert in the press, as they have a limited amount of entries, obviously due to the December fading light and the vast amount of people who want to shoot it. It is a superb shooting ground that does not normally hold any regular shoots and not a trap in sight. Not to be missed. Book in early. From Auntie.:good::good::good::good::hmm::good:
