Catamong
I walked a flock of 800 odd off the rape today! Sod the acorns and beechmast... they are already on it round here Setup for 40 birds... Really we needed more guns to keep the flock on the move! Hmmm, they weren't there on Saturday, but it's good to see they're starting on the rape locally now. May have to forego the clays this coming Sunday if the weather is right, will have to break out the banger ropes, that keeps 'em on the move. magman
Unless the pigeons pick the heart (center) out of the rape it will still bloom to be a good crop No pigeons on rape here yet as there are still plenty of berries round
burntout
No mate, I don't. Do you? I happened to spot them on my way north. A fair few birds on it. Not at the moment...got permissions in Skeyton and Brooke (both 30 mins away) at the moment but my newly acquired sxs is in bits (just did a stock refrub, pics to follow soon) and haven't got my o/u yet so will have to wait until the new year. Lot of Rape gets planted round here so could make for good shooting.
