Heladoxa
Hello Bluebarrels, No offence intended and apologies all round. I misread it as, what will a game dealer pay, rather than what do you get, as a comparison. Part of my job is to help people locate stuff or get quotations and it is surprising how many forget about Yellow Pages. Hope you get enough livestock, or deadstock, to sell. I should be so lucky. The guys who wrote the bad press were misguided and had had a bad hair day. LOL Bill
Heladoxa
What a complete **** Why are you on here? Hello Blunderbuss, You do not know me, and my comment was not addressed to you, so why are you swearing at me? I could turn your question round and say if all you can offer is a 4 star swearword you have not the courage to write, why are YOU on here? But what the hell, we all have off days, You win Bill
poontang
The guys who wrote the bad press were misguided and had had a bad hair day. LOL Bill Heladoxa, Your original post on this thread is typical of a lot of your replies to peoples questions on here. As i said on your profile page, if you've got nothing constructive to say best say nothing at all. Any 'bad press' you get, is in my opinion, fully justified. My remarks were certainly not misguided and i stand by them. The OP asked a very simple question, i don't see how you could have misread it. Perhaps you're having a bad hair day?? smiiithy
If I want to buy duck or pheasant from another shooter does anybody know the going rate? Also I know it's illegal to sell goose but does anybody know an appropriate level of gift to offer if someone is kind enough to give me a goose? I was thinking carts or a bottle of something possibly? Cheers, Mike

Hello Poontang, I was writing to Bluebarrels and not to you. If you read the letters you will see that I apologised unreservedly to him and, he made a very gracious acceptance. I do not like you sniping at me. Give me examples of what you do not like, or be quiet. As I remember, this is an open forum. I remember you. I asked how I should explain POONTANG to my grandchildren who use this site. You did not answer that one. Too mucky? If you feel better having a go at me, that's OK. You win. Dirty Harry
Your game dealer normally breaks the law does don't think so. I asked him the other day out of curiosity and he said he was not really interested in them. I keep geese so does he and he would rather sell farmed ones because it's a better product. Harry
MC
I would have thought that a policeman would know about the law, don't really know why I thought that mind you. Maybe your game dealer sells farmed geese because it is illegal to sell wild ones. Just a hunch you understand
Blunderbuss
Hello Blunderbuss, You do not know me, and my comment was not addressed to you, so why are you swearing at me? I could turn your question round and say if all you can offer is a 4 star swearword you have not the courage to write, why are YOU on here? But what the hell, we all have off days, You win Bill Hello Blunderbuss. Was that a quiet little 'Sorry' I heard? Regards. Heladoxa No it wasn't, I've nothing to apologise for. Although it's not been my experience that swearing requires "courage", rest assured that the use of asterisks was not due to my lack of any, but more due to the forum censorship settings No, I do not know you, but I have been on the receiving end of one your "helpful" comments, of which your response on here is just the latest of many. You seem to specialise in posting sarccy comments on threads asking for help, often posted by youngsters or newcomers to the sport. A quick search pulled up the following, but there were many more. I may not know you, but I can see what a friendly helpful guy you are . I also took the liberty of reading your profile. Seems you've upset a quite few people on here, I wonder why that is? In response to a young lad asking how to contact his FEO Hello Bobbon Where can you find your local fire arms officer? Wake up! Go to your Police Station and ask there. Got a gun shop near you? They should know. Bill In response to another newcomer looking for advice on gaining shooting permission You could do what some other bloke did. Go shooting over some Conservation land, get your gun confiscated and you won't have to worry any more about where to shoot. Any help? Bill In response to someone asking how much others got for their shot pigeons How old are you Shotgun Tommy, You sound about 10, LOL Bill In response to a young lad asking for help with zeroing If you have one eye closed and the other eye open, you should be looking down the scope with the eye that is open. Was this of any help? In answer to someone asking how others disposed of fox carcases What happened to 'If you shoot it, eat it'? In answer to someone looking for a specific type of foam with which to line his shooting cabinet I got some from my local yellow pages under FOAM PRODUCTS Bill To someone asking about the legality of carrying both lead and steel shot on the foreshore at the same time For a definitive answer get the first lad to go along the shore with both lead and steel cartridges, and then inform the police. Then you will know one way or the other in real life, rather than speculation. To someone seeking help in identifying strange lesions in a shot deer Perhaps they are little alien beings. No doubt you'll try to pass these off as "humour", which I could just about swallow if it wasn't so often aimed at the young and inexperienced, or if you occasionally offered some genuine help Edited November 21, 2009 by Blunderbuss
Heladoxa
Hello Blunderbuss, This forum is no place to carry on a vendetta. Just clear up one thing though, you said that on my profile that I seemed to have upset quite a few people. One was somebody called Poontang and another was a lad called Groach. When I realised he was a lad I made my peace immediately with no problems. So that leaves one, not not quite a few! The other stuff? In retrospect some of it was a bit sharp and some of it fitted the mood of the thread. But now that it has been pointed out I will be more careful. How do you pull up all those answers that somebody has written? So, as i said, I have other things to do besides go to war where neither side can win. You win. And you can relax from being a censor. I must admit I would rather be doing this over a pint. I exit graciously, and I hope that you will do the same Bill
