Pigeon shooting seat bag ?

Just wondered if anyone had ordered or got a pigeon shooying seat bag from a certain decoying website :hmm: (Dont think i can mention the exact online shop by name ).

I recently ordered one for £29 + £9.50 postage ! when it arrived i was quite disapointed with the quality as it consisted of a large black bucket with a piece of white foam inside and the large double strapped bag (the bag i dont have a problem with).

In the ad it says "Bucket seat features luxury foam padded top for supreme comfort in the field".Now is it me being fussy but a piece of white foam isn't exactly luxury  and i know i was ordering a bucket with a padded lid but i at least expected the padding to be attached to the lid and also be in a drab colour so as to not scare away the birds.Even in the picture it shows a dark coloured padded seat !!!

So has anyone ever dealt with this company and how have you found them as im ringing them up tomorrow to complain :yp:

havent dealt with them, but knowing Ive just saved £30 plus makes me well happy, just finished making a bucket seat from a beer making kit (large bucket), foam/vinyl covered seat, attached to the lid, can of green spray cost me £3 from wilkinsons :stupid:

Now please tell me if I'm wrong. My mate bought one of these also online but I don't know from whom.He was equally disappointed with a bucket in a bag with a piece of loose foam,or should I say he was until he showed it to me.

I took out the bucket threw the foam in the bottom of the bag and told him to use it upside down ie sitting on the base of the bucket and not the lid,Huge improvement.

I've got one of those seat/bag combos.

Only got one complaint with it - the plastic D-ring clips break really easily. I've replaced mine with metal D-rings and there's nothing wrong with it.

Okay - so the foam's a bit of a con, but it beats sitting on the ground.

You got the one below for £3.50 and it was priced at £5.50? If so can I have details of the store please?

i find with stuff like that its best not to buy from a shooting place you just pay extra. i went to a local army store and brought the axact same seat they sell (the pigeon shooters folding stool) it was £5.50 but they didnt have any left but the one on display so i got £2.00 nocked off :stupid:

Not quite the same thing is it? As usual someone somewhere always thinks they have the better deal BUT IME they very rarely are. That tilting seat (from the site sponsors) is IMO the best by far, why? because it's the right height (or can be adjusted to be for almost anyone) most of these other seats, buckets etc etc are way too low to be of much use to any serious pigeon shooter. The cheap and cheerful 'fishing' seats are simply that and all but useless for hide use and will in all probability break after a few uses. It's the old story...you (generally) get what you pay for!

Rang them up today and spoke to one of the owners of the shop and after a little conversation he has offered to send me a spin seat bucket for free :hmm: . So i cant really fault their customer service there and a thoroughly nice chap he was too :hmm: .

from a newbie to hides and seating, after read John Batley's book he refers to needing your thighs, horizontal to the ground, or a 90 degree bend at the knees, my "bucket" is very much taller than standard (brewers bucket) and therefore fits the criteria
