Tobyb525
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LED-Lenser-Police-Te...=item439b87b3a3 Won't get a better beam than this for air gun ranges
Colster
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LED-Lenser-Police-Te...=item439b87b3a3 Won't get a better beam than this for air gun ranges Hmm, not sure about that bold claim... you can get an Ultrafire with double the power for less than half the money and they'll take Lenser GL2 filters if you want to knock it back a bit. bicykillgaz
LEDlenser torches are good i've got three and recently got a mount for the barrel of my hushpower .410 and if using the naked light will show them up a lot further than you will be shooting them at, i've made some rather crude filters using electrical tape and quality street rappers which give a good beam out to 30ish yards, just held the rapper over the end and losely wrapped the tape round so i could slide it on and off, i've now got red, purple, green, blue, orange and my personal favourite toffee penny yellow! air gunner
i use one of those 1 million candle power lamps if i go (which is not often) its far too powerfull the only way i get kills with it is to spot the rabbit then put it on the fence so only the eyes are visible as a red glint and the light is way above the rabbit. then judge distance and pull the trigger last one i got was recently about 45yrds using that method i also used a red celephane filter. Colster
What sort of range will you get with the ultrfire light? Thanks Without a filter it's probably out to 4-500 yards but if a rabbit is against a hedge he'll be hard to pick out with an unfiltered light as you get too much reflected back. With a filter, (Ledray GL2's fit fine on mine), it knocks it down nicely to around 80 yards

I'm wanting a light for the top of the .22mag rimfire without a lead, i'm currently with a clusion shootalite which is great but i have to share with the caller so a independent light would be a help! dingocatcher
Will it cover foxes out to about 80yrds?
Colster
Will it cover foxes out to about 80yrds? Yes no problem, I'm going to try an Amber GL2 Filter on it and see how that works but even with the Red on it you're good out to 80 yards. adymorris
As Colster said - get an Ultrafire 501B LED - I ordered one over christmas - arrived within 14 days - I got a charger, 4x 18650 batteries, a few battery cases, pressure switch, barrel clamp & torch for approx £30 - I got a red Deben GL2 filter arrive today which fits perfectly - I used the torch a few times - works a treat - 1 small wire no heavy batteries to lug about and ideal for shooting from a vehicle on your own. I've just ordered 2 more and a few more batteries & accessories - price has gone down to $13 each When they arrive I'll have 3 complete torch sets with holsters, batteries clamps etc for the price of 1 Deben Stinger which looks to be a very very similar torch bargin me thinks
