henry c
I have caught the small bore bug! I was hoping my Yildiz o/u .410 would satisfy this, but i am now looking for a 28 bore o/u. Has anyone got any suggestions / experiences of which 28 bore o/u are worth a look? Thanks, Henry
njc110381
In my experience the 28 bore is much better than the .410. It still doesn't recoil much and is quiet, but it packs a much harder punch. You can actually get some fairly hefty loads for it if you need them. I had a Beretta SP O/U. It was a lovely gun. A chap off of here bought it so he could chop it up and make it suitable for his little kids. I nearly cried when he told me what he planned to do with it :look:
henry c
I bet you were gutted! was that a true scale 28 or one built on a 20 bore frame?
seeker
Have a look at the recent topic 28v410 in this list. Most of the main gunlines seem to have 28s nowadays. Some are true-scale 28 action (Beretta) others 28 on 20 action (Browning): MAY make a weight diference. Yours choices include:- Berettta: Browning: Lincoln: Miroku: Fabarm .... and many others - several American Autos too. Several on guntrader. happy hunting! mattslaptop247
I had a macnab Lowlander 28bore. That was a fantastic little gun, regret getting rid of it now!
njc110381
It was a true scale action, the gun was tiny! It fitted very well though and was lovely to use. There was an article I think in this months Sporting Gun about a Yildiz O/U .410. That looked smart
henry c
Thats what im after, a 20 with some thin barrels doesnt really appeal to me! Yer i saw that article, ive got the non-ejector version, it is a really nice gun, and amazingly ive taken pigeons out to 45 yards with it!!! But just fancy a 28 bore aswell. Has anyone used the Lincoln one?

Has anyone used the Lincoln one? My 11 year old has used the 28g Lincoln when he had some lessons, it was the schools gun. In the end I bought him a 20g Lincoln as it weighed exactly the same, just had the stock shortened a bit for him, carts are a bit cheaper aswell. p@cman
I bought a 28g Miroku recently and am really enjoying using it. Am still getting used to it, but it is lightweight and a joy to shoot.
