humperdingle
Actually, the ones i've been getting are extreme game (32gm), but they're much cheaper at about £170 per 1000.
Jim Sarakun
WOW! You're paying some for your cartridges Wiggum. 28grm no. 7's are adequate for pigeons and all you can use if shooting clays. Correct me if I am wrong you Clay boys. £127/1000 down here they are. benelli montefeltro
yes 28g is the max load allowed in clay shooting, lower in olympic disciplines though. 24 for these. a bigger shot size is allowed in sporting, a 6 is ok i believe but no bigger. and i kill all my pigeons with a 28g clay cartridge, 7.5s. and they kill effectively at fair old ranges too

benelli montefeltro
do you find them any different killing the pigeons mossy? well effectively they are meant to give you a tighter pattern so if you put it on em, why wouldnt it bring em down no problem. i was lucky in that my father had learned through years of experience that heavy loads and big shot was not needed for pigeon shooting. he made the switch to 24g around the mid 90s, not long when they came out really, and he swears they kill better than all the 32g 6s he shot in the 70s and 80s. its only my opinion but i believe we are brainwashed into thinking that 32g 6s or even bigger are needed for pigeons. just pick up a sporting gun mag and see a pigeon piece in it, it will recommend the heavy stuff all the way. i didnt have to learn that way thanks to my dad, who learned himself through experience
mossy835
with the 21 grams carts, i have used 28 grams as well on pigeons, i fined both carts bring them down at good hights some dead in the air and some not,but 21 grams are good for the price,
SSS
I use them a lot and couldnt say a bad word about them. Pigeon specials are good too, but all express seem to work well in my AYA
reddan
Been using Eley Hi-Flyer 32gm 6s recently found them to be really good. Seemed like less recoil then the 32gm Rio I was using. I switched because they were a good price for a fibre wad and I have now decided that fibre is the way forward. Dan
