kyska
Guys, I've just put a brand new SAK mod on my .22, now when I unsrew it the whole mod unscrews leaving the baffle attached to the barrel, I've tightened the 'top' it to hand tight with a 25mm spanner and it still happens, the barrel doesn't want to let go of it! Will I damage it to tighten it really tight?
gixer1
Stick a bar through the baffle and crack it off that way or get hold of it with mole grips....
casts_by_fly
clean the threads on the gun and mod where they mate and give a very light touch of lube to the threads. Not a problem if it gets stuck as you can do what gixer said. Just more of a pain really. Thanks Rick

steve_b_wales
Clean threads of rifle barrel and apply a smear of copperslip. Available in Halfords for under £2.50.
mick miller
Some gun shops will be able to run a 1/2" die over the threads for you for nish. My .22lr was über tight when I first got it (I could barely screw a mod on!), a quick squizz over with the die and it was all sorted. Sounds like your threads could do with a once over?
