I have just noticed that it has BN stamped inside a little box next to the proof marks on the barrel. I first thought this may be some kind of nitro proof mark but it seems it may denote the gun was made in 1999 unless anyone knows differently.

Beretta denotes AA as being 1974 and I can't see how it could possibly be that old :good:

Hi mate, this info was taken off another forum, so I can't vouch for it's accuracy!

If you look just forward of the trigger guard, there will be a different number. Mine is BS****, so is 2002...

BM=1999

BN=2000

BP=2001

BS=2002

BT=2003

BU=2004

BZ=2005

CA=2006

CB=2007.

Seems like this one is 2000 then :good:

Any idea of its value :hmm:

I got mine about 3 months ago in near mint condition boxed with 5 extended chokes 30" barrels and a 3 " magnum it was on the shelf for £850 but managed to knock them down to £600 and it has a BT code so looking at the previous post that makes it a 2003 model, I find it to be right little clay spanker but yet to have a good day in the field, hopefully this weekend will be a good test for it..

mine is surprisingly a 2001 model bought in 2001!! best £550 I ever spent had many many thousands of rounds through it

still going strong, it only ever plays up if I go mad with the oil after cleaning, a bath in diesel keeps the bright bits bright and the moving bits moving :good: I will buy another the day this one dies (it will probably see me out first)

Hi the shop was J.F. Neville Guns in Alfreton Derby, Cracking lot of chaps there they will look after you very well indeed I have been back a few times since I got this little cracker and they always ask how I’m getting on with it... They have a very large stock of guns in store too. Since I got my 391 my mate now wants one and I haven’t seen one in the same condition as mine for under £1,000.

What shop was that? gorgeous looking gun, id snap that up at that price!
