vole
Just done a search on here and there are a few happy owners of the Marlin 917. Will bear one in mind as well as .22lr.

vole
Cheers KW. Thats all I need to hear really that it does the business. Seem to be about at really good prices. Just sold my Miroku to fund my 1st rimfire.
Spook
I have a Marlin 17v and I am more than happy with it! Groups very well (considering how shakey my hands are :-) ), Zero'd at 100 yards. Only complaint is the action is still tight but it seems to be getting better with use. Evil Elvis
Dude not being funny but whats wrong with a cz? cheap, well built and very accurate?
Ozzy Fudd
bought a marlin 917v a few weeks ago, it was £75 cheaper than the cz's and it just felt far better to me than the cz's did - they felt a bit too light tbh. thats all i can say as havnt fired it yet (and probably wont for 6 months or so ) but i think you could make worse choices - plus one of my mates went out and bought a marlin 2nd hand about a week after i bought mine, he saw it in the shop, picked it up and the wallet came straight out
marlin vs
Iv'e got the marlin vs and it made a big difference when I changed the trigger to a riflebasix, so if you get a marlin i'd recommend changing the trigger it's worth it.
