SHOT GUN RELOALDING

Recommended Posts

Hi my brother & i bought some second hand lee load all's with powder & shot. We got it for reloading non-toxic shot but as i said we got some powder & shot with the kits & i aim to use/play with the powder/shot to get an idea on it. I have reloaded rifles for years so have a bit idea but can not sorce data for the Nobel 80 & Nobel 82 & AO powder we have so can any of you shotshell reloaders help. I have no idea what these powders could do load wize in shot so info required please. Can i get starting loads & max loads for nobel 80-82 & AO please for them in the weights of shot they do or cover i have lead shot in 3,4,5,7,8 shot to play with. Would i be right in thinking that if nobel 80 was to load with say 32g of shot would it mater if it was No.5 or 4 or 7 shot at 32g dose it make a diffrence with shot size other than the amount of pellets in the 32g load if you get what i mean. Is 32g of No.7 the same load as it would be for a 32g No.5 data wize any help well come please.

I have an idea for my non-toxic loads with alliant steel powder & non-toxic shot as i have sourced data for what im thinking i just wish to use up the lead shot & powder i got with the stuff i got cheers.

Thank you so much for your help & i will PM your self's as asked to do. As i asked before as to regards the 32g of shot would/dose it mater if it is #7 or #4 size shot for the data for the powder. Or if you get a load for say 30g as long is it 30g can it be any size of shot as long as it is 30g loaded.

The shot size is irrelevant as long as the recipe shot weight isn't exceeded, but reloading press bushes will throw different weights for different shot sizes.

You just need to check to make sure you stay on the safe side.
