tungsten
Had a couple of hours watching pigeon fly high over my decoys on rape? Just didn't seem interested at all. Had a straggler have a look and bagged it, very small. Just as I was about to pack up 4 decent sized birds flashed over my head from behind, they weren't stopping I took a snap shot a dropped the trailing bird. On breasting the 2 birds i had in the bag I noticed the smaller birds crop was empty but the bigger bird had a crop full of:- Seed crop? no wonder they didn't fancy the Rape Oh by the way nice to bump into P-A-S just as I was getting my gear out of my car

Catamong
Yes, you've just found out that rape is not their food of choice, they only eat it 'cos there's nothing else available. Cat

Windy
spent 5hrs on rape today.....very quiet. Got one woody and only had two small groups come into the deeks. Could see plenty of the buggars dropping into fields adjacent to my permission! Edited January 30, 2010 by Windy
