Steyr 6.5
Im using a Falcon Menace 4.5 - 18 x 56 on mine with IR. Its a great scope and can be picked up at a good price 2nd hand. I mainly use it on 10 or 12 but the 18 is good if you want to punch some paper at 150+ yards. Good quality glass for the price. Its a bit big and chunky though, need a good size cabinet!! Edited February 19, 2010 by stevienicknacks

I would have thought IF he is working in Pest Control- you could take his recommendations I have a Hawke Endurance on mine and it does the job 100% I also use a Hawke Endurance on my Tikka 222- just a different model with an Illuminated centre dot however: these cost around £300 Les Edited February 20, 2010 by Lez325
bootsie
Hi there, i had a cz 17 hmr i would say good value, but a bit tight to start with couple of jams, after a hundred or so rounds it was getting better, needs running in. The same as my .22 cz. good luck bootsie.

toka_shigazu
also thinking about a CZ, can anyone tell me if they do the Silhouette in left hand or ambi [pics look like it is right hand]...otherwise it will be the Varmint.. ATB

ATB Hi, I have an american cz the guns great and you will kill lots of rabbits with one if thats what you shoot. The only down side is the noise you will shoot more with a 10/22, but I like to shoot them at a distance so my ruger is redundant.
Frenchieboy
I bought a CZ452 Varmint in 17HMR and haven't looked back since. The accuracy is extremely good on mine and it is "relatively" quiet with a SAK mod on it but you will never eliminate that "Sonic Crack"! The only thing that I would say about the Varmint is that it can seem a litle heavy at times, especially if you have been covering a lot of rough ground while carrying it! Having said that I would not change mine for any other gun of the same caliber! I am running with a set of BSA Deerhunter 3-9X50 scopes on mine which I find are great in both daylight and on the lamp taking head shots on rabbits out to 140 yards! Dekers
The HMR excels as a long(ish) range bunny basher! It is noisy with whatever mod you put on it, and despite the BC of the 17g ammo it is **** in any sort of a crosswind! Ammo prices continue to move skywards! CZ are as good as any and probably better than most for general field work, which after all is what the HMR is there for! I run the Silhouette in .22lr and HMR and the American in WMR, I like the lighter barrels for field work!!

ATB It probably won't be the Varmint as they don't that in left hand They do the American in lefty, but not sure about the silhouette or style. I got a varmint and it is a good tool. Not exactly refined in cycling the bolt (not that I've tried many other rifles) but it robust and very accurate, and the trigger is easy to improve.
