HDAV
I bought an easy hit bead, didnt use it today but need to know how to fit it so it improves my shooting and doesnt make it worse? the gun is a SxS and the bead is slightly narroer than the rib ( it think that the right terms)
throdgrain
It has some tape underneath it - you stick it on with that!
Vipa
I bought an easy hit bead, didnt use it today but need to know how to fit it so it improves my shooting and doesnt make it worse? the gun is a SxS and the bead is slightly narroer than the rib ( it think that the right terms) Just make sure you de-grease the area you are going to stick it with some meths or other degreasant, peel the backing tape off and stick on the rib at the end of the barrel. Mine stits right behind the original bead. Dead easy. Once it's on and assuming you degreased thoroughly, it is unlikely to come off! Word of warning. It takes quite a while to get used to. Yes it helps your brain to work out which image is coming from the correct eye but it's so damned bright that you end up focussing on the dot rather than the target.... takes quite a bit of practice to get over that! utectok
I found it quite easy to fit simple remove packaging and throw everything in the bin. Make sure you don't remove the sticky back plastic or it'll stick to the inside of the bin!! Hate the things myself might work but plasticy rubbish IMHO !! HDAV
~Thanks i meant to make sure its aiming you in the right direction...its also higher then my original bead will that mean the gun shot lower relative to original?
beretta
hard to believe its higher than the original. :( it virtually (maybe 1mm) sits directly on the rib.
edge
I used an Easy Hit bead for about nine months, after it was recommended by my shooting coach at the time. I finally realised that it was hindering my shooting rather than helping. Rather than looking at the clay, I ended up subliminally looking at the barrel. After all, that's the Easy Hit's purpose, to draw your eye to it. Once I'd got rid of it, decided to disregard the fact that I'm left eye dominant when I'm right handed, and just look at the target, my shooting improved. HDAV
at the moment i have to close my dominant left eye (which is my good eye) and end up rifling they clay My gun is a SxS and has a tiny tiny brass bead and i have been told the gun shoots very flat and am worried that the easy hit will make it worse, or i will stick it on at a dodgy angle and make it worse I don't find it drawing my dom eye when i test fitted it (it was raised up an extra mm using a magnet) and with only my right eye it just looked odd. I havent tried firing with it yet tho.
eddoakley
i just fitted 1 to a rizzini that i have just refurbed. it looks good but dont know how well it works as havnt had chance to shoot yet. fitting was easy, just a wipe with the cloth supplied and stick it on, making sure to ge it in the right place first time!!! have tried it whilst shouldering the gun and i think it will more than likely help my shooting. Cumbrian
I use one, having the tiresome left dominant eye problem. I think the theory is probably sound i.e that the right eye is peripherally guided by the red light, which it doesn't or shouldn't actually focus on, and which the left eye cannot see at all. Not entirely sure whether it helps in practice, but then I have so many other difficulties with swing and lead that my shooting is hardly a scientific test-bed for the device. The red light certainly helps whenever - dare I confess this - I can rifle shoot a clay!
Mr_Logic
I find the easyhit great. Comes with alcohol pad - wipe over rib with this to remove oil. Then remove about 1" of tape back from easyhit, line up, stick this to rib, then peel away the rest as you keep the bead in line with the centre - doddle tbh. Does it work? Yep I think so - I stopped having to worry about gun mount or anything, helps me with remembering lead, too. Big fan.
utectok
I like these as they are steel and take a bit of wear. Fit most guns although a drop of loctite under the base helps. Great allround bead. http://www.hivizsights.com/Flame-Shotgun-Sight-P85C1.aspx Edited March 7, 2010 by utectok

Great allround bead. http://www.hivizsights.com/Flame-Shotgun-Sight-P85C1.aspx I saw those and have noticed some new guns come with short fibre beads. I'll try it again dry mounting and see how i get on but when i tried the other day i could see the red with left eye!!! it doesnt help that its a bit narrower than the rib so i could stick it on skewed if i wasn't careful! ED do you shoot clays? if so where?
