uktackletart
Hi there, Can anyone out there give me some advice on what sort of ear defenders I need ... I've just taken up clay shooting and I can't get on with plugs.... Do I go for standard ones or electronic....Are the Napier ED100's any good? Many Thanks... Dunkield
I have the slimline Deben ones that do that and they were only £65, but would like to buy these for a mate as I am such a good friend
Beardo
i paid about £100 for my HLs - think you can pick them up for about £50 on ebay - so €46 is good

scout
Hi welcome to PW. It's definately worth going for the elecronic ones. I got some from opticswarehouse (Caldwell ) for about £25. Not the best in the world but I don't use the shotgun much. If you're going to use it a lot it's worth spending a bit more, all my mates swear by their Peltor ones. John_R
I've got the Howard Leights as well, I got them in the USA for $60 including shipping to where I was staying. I do like them, but I have to make sure I put them on just right or I find the muffs are too far down my face and interfere with gun mount. One of these days I'll pad the head band, a quick experiment worked.
petethegeek
Another vote for the Howard Leights. Following recommendations on here and a link posted by nickbeardo, I purchased a set a couple of months ago off ebay. My only regret is that I didn't do it earlier. Paid ~£50 for mine if I remember rightly. Edited March 19, 2010 by petethegeek
