What Air Rifle ?

Last year, i sold my Air Arms S200.

I am now back in the market for a .22 air rifle for ratting at my place.

Question is - can i buy a springer air rfle with a silencer that is as silent (ish) as a pnuematic ? I really didnt like the faff of the pneumatic and filling it etc (and cost !) , so just looking to see if there is a good springer rifle that is reasonably quiet ?

Thanks

Go classic??

And hone your skills!!

BSA Meteor etc??

If i was ratting for pleasure then i would use a .410 shottie

if £££ were an issue then a good quality, easy maintained springer is the choice

I'll be interested in what the suggestions are!!

Cant use a 410 as there are a few other properties close by.

A quiet springer would be ideal if there is such a thing.

All ideas appreciated

My springer is quiet. It's a HW95 with V-Mach internals, barrel profesionally shortened to 11" and a theoben evolution silencer fitted. CS 500 walnut stock.

It really is quiet, no cocking sounds just a smooth pull does it. On firing (virtually no recoil) it makes a dull thud is bout best I can say. Hardly audible at 60-70 yds.

Silence in this case comes at a price but well worth it I think. Springers benifit from internal tlc, it smoothes out the various clangs.
