Paulo
Evening folks. Looking for local clubs to visit and possibly join. I'm in Bollington, near Macclesfield, Cheshire. Don't mind travelling a reasonable distance (approx 25 mile radius) but would prefer to spend sunday mornings shooting rather driving! Any recommendations gratefully received. Thanks, Paulo

Pepe
Hi Paulo, Have you tried http://www.cloudside.co.uk/open.htm ? I've been there a couple of times and it seemed very nice. My local is the star at Lymm. The other ones I go to are Catton Hall, Worsley and Seeland but they are all quite far from you. http://www.cattonhall.co.uk/site/1/Home.html http://www.manchesterclayshooting.com/ http://www.shootingschool.net/ Edited March 24, 2010 by Pepe

Paulo
Thanks folks for all your helpful suggestions. I've heard that there is (or was?) a club at Cold Springs Farm, on the Whaley Bridge to Buxton Road. That's quite close to me, anyone know if it's still going and contact details? Thanks. Delbert
Thanks folks for all your helpful suggestions. I've heard that there is (or was?) a club at Cold Springs Farm, on the Whaley Bridge to Buxton Road. That's quite close to me, anyone know if it's still going and contact details? Thanks. Judging by the clays on the ground last time I passed yes Cold Springs is still operating its just over the top of the hill on the Long Hill Road I'll drop you the link when I get back on my desktop. In addition there are also The Boar through Glossop, Altrincham Gun Club at Moss Lane Warburton and as Mike pointed out Rowarth where as my memory points out you can also get a lovely bacon butty and a coffee. One other but I can't give you much detail on Morley Green Clay Club the shoot near Wilmslow

Maccbob
Hi all New to PW Started shooting the clay version about 12 months ago, plenty of local shoots around The Wild Boar apposite the Wild Boar Pub on the Congleton to Buxton Road next shoot 4th april shot every other week Cold Springs On Long Hill Buxton to Whaley Road 1st & last Sunday of the month but not Easter Sunday Holmes Chapel 1st Farm on right just over motor bridge 1st & 3rd Sunday 3rd sunday members only I think Kingsley Moor Good 100 bird shoot 2nd & 4th Sunday Cloudside is OK a bit the same, good for practice Skeet, DTL, Compact sporting etc gets a bit pricey if you get carried away Just a few delights waiting for you Maccbob
