Hubertus
Next day of shooting was the 10th of January. It was the day i was talking about here when i returned and i said it was the best day ever. You probably wont believe it.... That day was again a very cold day with minus 12 C. We had snow and we had sun. We had a total bag of 140 (!) WE GOT 125 RED DEER (!!!) that day. I have never seen such a big bag of red deer. Unbelievable. 8 Boar, 6 Roe and one Fox. It took hours to get all the game to the place where the meeting was. That pic was made at 4 o clock pm. You can see here round about 80 red deer. We were ready at 5:30 pm and it was dark. My flash of the camera couldnt illuminate all the game. We were all impressed that day. There were such masses of red deer, never seen before. There were still some herds that dissappeared (one with hundred, another with 40, one with 30) without being shot. We probably got only 20-30%. There are much to many red deer. They damage the wood a lot. Hubertus

Hubertus
its quite hard work for the woodworker of the forestry commission. Here they are counting and weighting the deer. The pick up cars keep coming and coming with new red deer...
Hubertus
thats the place where they were counting and weighting from more far away. The little hut on wheels is from the forestry commission. Its used for the administration that day (all the paper things that day )

Hubertus
and that pic was taken when all red deer have been on the meeting point. You can see less then on the pics before because it was now dark It looks so impressive. But maybe you can imagine when you add to the pic above with the 80 again 45... Hubertus
mufflons are not very often in Germany. Its rare to have them on a driven day in bag. There are not many areas where you have them.
