mosa
Hello all i am looking to buy my 1st .243 and my preference would have been a tikka T3 stainless but funds at present dont allow that but a shop not far from me has a m55 rifle in for not a lot of money. I was just wondering if anyone uses one of these and what they think of them cheers in advance of any replies
Paul223
If it's close by have a look at it, good bit of kit but will depend on how it's been looked after
Rem223
The only aspect I would be concerned about is how much use its had. A bore scope inspection would be a good idea before parting with your wedge.

It will be an old gun but may not have had much use

JackReady
been swayed towards a tikka T3 hunter so thats the current plan! You'll live to regret passing up that M55 if it was a good one. T3's cheap **** designed by Beretta to be built as cheaply as possible where the plastic bit fall off. M55's absolute quality designed by Tikka when money saved was not an consideration. Sauer
my mate has a m55 in .243 and it is brilliant, has the "winterised" bigger bolt **** which is handy and it shoots keyhole groups. like said depends on how its been looked after etc but if its a good one its worht it sauer
6br
the m55 is the best action tikka made, before they were were a part of sako, a lot of custom rifle builders like them for semi custom builds.

Bobbo.
A good price that mosa, I have a M590 and it's great, it's what I would call "smiddy built", better build quality than the T3.
