chilledout3
Hi everyone, I recently purchased an Air Arms S410 Carbine from a private seller, when I received the S410 via Parcelforce the scope was damaged, It had a (Nikko stirling gold crown 4-12x50 parralaxing scope fitted. The seller did promise to replace the scope, that was three weeks ago and nothing, he wont return my calls, so now I have decided to purchase a new scope that is suitable to fit the S410 Please can you give me some advice on which is the best scope to purchase between the following scopes. 1. Nikko Stirling Platinum Nighteater 30mm 4-16x50 Rifle Scope 2. Leapers 4-16x50 3. Nikko Sterling LaserKing 4.5-14x50. 4. LEAPERS SWAT 8-32x56 MIL DOT SIDE FOCUS 5. MTC Optics Viper 10x44 IR 6. SIMMONS 3-9x50 RIFLE SCOPE 8-POINT BLAZER Thank you for your help and time Terry
Beardo
not having tried all of them, i'd certainly go for No.1, they get good reviews from most people who use them.
Dekers
1 or 2 on a AA410...consider also the Hawke and JSR scopes!
steve_b_wales
I just picked up a GunTuff scope (JRS) and, for the money, they are excellent.
f.a.c.sam
I would have to agree with nick, I have had both the MTC and the Nikko and out of the two I still have the nikko. Gives an excellent F.O.V and even on high mags the picture isn't too milky. If possible search round a few local RFD's and go and try a couple side by side that way you can narrow it down, as recommendations are often personal opinion, you may find that you don't entirely agree. Hence it's best to decide for yourself.

pigglet
I have an MTC viper 4-16 and it's a great scope but the target turrets are huge. Unless you intend to "dial in" any range or windage adjustments adjustments on a shot by shot basis you're better off with a Mamba. It's the same scope but with hunter style turrets. Something else to consider is do you really need such a big, high mag scope for up to 50 yds (30 if hunting) I had the MTC on my s410 when I was waiting for my rimfire ( I bought it for the rimmy) and it was just overkill. TBH it's overkill for the .22 rimmy as well which is used out to 80 yds. I've now got a HW77 and it wears a hawk 3-9X40 Ao map 6 pro. It's a great scope and is much better suited to air rifle ranges plus the map 6 ret makes hold over / under a doddle as it's designed for a 12/ft lb airrifle. It cost About £50 too so a significant saving on the others.
