SNAKEBITE
Im sure you've asked this previously Snakebite, Can't remember asking!! But some days have a job remembering my name. I just wanted to get something constructive going, that get's people to put things forward. Oh and even I draw the line at eating rats, although I did try crow once. Not a lot of meat and not worth the bother.

deputy dog
CALL ME OLD FASHIONED, BUT I STILL THINK THAT YOU SHOULD ONLY SHOOT WHAT YOU WANT TO EAT. AT MY FAVOURITE HAUNTS WITH THE GUN, THERE IS PLENTY EDIBLE QUARRY FROM HORDS OF RABBITS TO PRETTY BIG FLOCKS OF PIGEONS AS WELL AS PHEASANTS AND SQUIRRELS. BUT JUST BECAUSE THEIR THERE IT DOESN'T MEAN I HAVE GOT TO GO AND SEEK AND DESRTOY EVERY THING THAT RUNS OR FLYS JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT. PRESERVING YOUR SHOOT IS THE MAIN THING AND THAT WILL ENSURE YOUR FUTURE SPORT WILL NOT DRY UP AND YOU CAN STILL GO AND GET A BUNNY WHEN YOU FANCEY ONE OR TWO FOR THE POT. CROWS, SQIRRELS AND OTHER UNDESIRABLES ARE LEFT FOR CHARLIE FOX TO CLEAR UP. HAPPY SHOOTING ALL, TRY NOT TO OVER KILL B) Edited November 25, 2005 by deputy dog

Carcharadon
Can't stand the taste of most of it so I tend to open it for baiting or leave in areas where wildlife can benefit from it but out of sight of passers by etc. besdies it means the wildlife is likely to keep coming back so i increase my shooting oppurtunities
