mosa
Just back from a bit foxing and was shocked when i couldnt see through my scope (2 foxes seen) any way ive read in the past about glare from the lamp hitting the mod and shining back. I have had a rifle in the past with a T8 on it and had no problems. The mounts may have been higher though. Well it happened tonight. Gutted. I was hoping for a write up in the sporting pictures section noit this one ha ha.What do you lot do about this?. I remember hearing about cardboard tubes from kitchen rolls etc but does it work?. I need this sorted out asap so i can get back out for those
activeviii
what lamp and mod? one easy way is just put a butler creek on the front. as long as its solid and not glass, then the light will not cast on the mod. bit of bike inner tube on mod will help as well or, like me, put a mod cover on. a plant pot on the lamp with the bottom of pot cut out also works. another way is to mount the lamp under the rifle. mosa
Lightforce & T8 although i do have a thick neoprene cover on it. But if i removed it i still think it will be there.

Cut the barrel shorter, sock over mod, tape over the bottom of the lamp lens, tilt the lamp up, sunshade on scope, higher scope mounts,...that lot or anything mentioned previously above should solve the problem! Hi, Yep, worked for me and my barrel is stainless which really didn't help. I got lucky, by chance (no judgement involved) all my scopes just happen to be threaded for 'shades which made life easy. Before twigging, I'd put a piece of stiffish but still flexible plastic around the bottom of the 170. 6" wide by 8" long did the trick but I did feel a right wally.
