UKPoacher
There are lots of reliable heavy weight .177 pellets to choose from. You don't need to waste your money on HMR rounds or Defiants for that matter.
THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Looks like every one (allmost & thanks for realiseing it was just a bit of fun & curiosity mixed up together) wears hi viz jackets, hard hats & just about every H&S item available known to man & goes around with a clip board & pencil tutting at anything that isn't by the book. Well my rule book says don't take things too seriously & the only way to find out is not to believe everything you hear untill you try it your self. Fiction often becomes fact just because someone says so. HMR can't be fired through a 177 air rifle so every one is saying, show me the proof then, oh I forgot, I'm showing you the proof. THEINVISIBLESCARECROW
Well my rule book says don't take things too seriously & the only way to find out is not to believe everything you hear untill you try it your self. It hurts when you put your hand in the fire Spot on And the guy who got the burnt hand will start to run sooner & run faster than the guy who's saying in a smug voice ummm bush fire did you know those can be danerous, we need to take a wind direction calculation & assume we need to evacuate sooner than later. Thing is, as the title said, air rifle + bullet head that was spare anyway + bored owner. No matter what you think the answer is about a HMR round in an air rifle you will never know untill you try it. No matter about the fact it's too small, no matter about the non suitable notion. It's very much like saying hollow point pellets are better than domes or the other way around. Unless you try it, unless you burn your hand you'r only takeing someone's word for it. There's more than one pellet brand / type that is over hyped & sold as the best. yet many have tried them, said they were no good & spread the word. Who do you believe, someone who tells you the best or the guys who's tried them & let you know what poop they are. All of a sudden the burnt hand guys are the ones you listen to, strange world we live in. Knock some types of people only when it suits. Just like rifles, some become popular some drift into the dark hole of history. Burnt hands rule
KANO
It hurts when you put your hand in the fire Not if you wear a heat proof glove.............
