My contract is up for renewal at the start of next month, so I have been looking at new phones. I quite fancy an iPhone, but what is the difference between a 3G and a 3Gs?

The price difference is quite major, as is the memory size, other than that, I cant see much in it.

All the best,

Sam

You can get an app for the 3G that lets you take videos anyway :good: The 3GS has a compass built into it....which seems about as much use as a fishnet johnny. ???

I might just get a windows or an android OS phone! iPhones are silly money!

I've had both the 3g and 3gs and theres not a massive difference.

3.2 megapixel camera instead of a 2 megapixel. It runs games a little better, due to a faster processor. Digital compass and a few other bits and bobs.

Anyway if you are thinking of a iphone, wait till June when the iphone HD should becoming out.

cheers

3G is the old model.

3GS - Latest model, shoots video, speed increase, improved camera and so on. This model will also fully support the next software update, multi-tasking is one of the main ones I can think of.

More info/differences can be found here (midway down): http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/shop...?mco=OTY2ODA0NQ

Anyway there will be another iPhone released shortly, some are saying June at the WWDC, so hold on if you can.
