  1. How about you've slowed down to 10mph because of the cyclist in front and the same car doing 80 slams into you. To quote you from earlier "it's a accident waiting to happen" (which of course it's not). Also mopeds are restricted to 30mph are they all likely to die too? I fully expect ill informed sweeping generalisations on pigeon watch but cycling topics really bring out the most ridiculous rubbish I've ever read. For info I'm a cyclist, car driver & motor biker and just like everything in life, there are good and bad cyclists, but of course there are good and bad car drivers too.
  2. It's not theft (or theft by finding) as the credit to the account is not tangible. It's certainly not conspiracy to steal....who's he conspired with? I think it's retaining a wrongfully credit - sec 24a Theft Act 1968. Unless this has been repelled and superseded by something in the Fraud Act. Either way here's the legislation: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1968/60/section/24A He needs to take reasonable steps to secure the credit is cancelled. If he's done this and the monies still there after a month or two I'd suggest he could spend it. But it's his choice and a risk that he could get in trouble. ATB
  3. Can't travel due to work commitments, sorry. If anyone wants this I'll let you have it for £10 and include a slip. Collection only from Tiptree. ATB.
  4. Hello troy. If you want to drive down I'll let you have it for £20 to cover your petrol and ill include a gun slip. My license runs out in 6 weeks and I'm not renewing so need to get rid of it. ATB Dan
  5. There is no offence of speeding on a cycle, that's why they weren't done....
  6. If it's her insurance (Hastings) paying for a total loss then I think it's normal procedure. However surly the other driver is at fault and no claim is made on her insurance?
  7. You daughters insurance will contact the lad. He can pay out of his own pocket or contact his insurance so the choice is his. Although if a hire cars involved it's gonna cost so he'll probably be better letting his insurance company pay. ATB
  8. The police don't need to achieve the criminal or civil burdon of proof, they need to show reasonable grounds to believe (note believe, not suspect). Anyway here is the big that covers revocation : (1)A firearm certificate may be revoked by the chief officer of police for the area in which the holder resides on any of the grounds mentioned in subsections (2) to (5) below. (2)The certificate may be revoked if the chief officer of police has reason to believe (a)that the holder is of intemperate habits or unsound mind or is otherwise unfitted to be entrusted with a firearm; or (b)that the holder can no longer be permitted to have the firearm or ammunition to which the certificate relates in his possession without danger to the public safety or to the peace. ATB
  9. I don't like Farage and UKIP, but I respect there popularity and think there the best thing to happen to UK politics for a generation. It's brilliant that there's a party that (seemingly) will listen to the electorate for a change. Russell brand on the other hand is a complete tool who's using a none sense socialist/slight capalist (rubbish) model to spout rubbish. If I could swear I would, but alas swear filters... ATB
  10. That's what I said to the judge when I missed the give way sign! Still convicted me, totally unfair!
  11. What's really sad is that we don't look at policies anymore just individuals, in a few election times we'll be voting for actors who look good in the media....like Ronald Regan. ATB. PS. I'm not a labour supporter.
  12. I've got a wooden tiled roof, I'm in permeant fear of one landing on mine! Not sure what people with thatched roofs think about these, although I suspect there constantly fearful too. ATB
