Lizard165
Try NFU they do a couple of quads for me and a van. Plus they are are mutual so you get a discount after your 1st year.

Conygree
You can get a reduction if you change your job title to 'paedo' - insurance companies like drivers that look out for children  Ok that one's from my son - but he checked out car insurance for himself, very expensive, so he put in for a quote as a 61 yr old with 5 points on a top classic sports car and got a quote for say £300 - simular to my L200 with no points. He's right it's not fair. Edited May 19, 2010 by pigeon popper
Gareth W
So far my current insurer's Direct Line are saying the car does not have and alarm or engine immobiliser which it does but they want proof of fitment, so am ignoring them for the time being. Sureterm Direct £794 with a £350 excess NFU £ 650 no excess or £530 with a £250 excess. Strangely neither of the above queried whether an alarm or immobiliser was fitted as standard. BASC £500 fully comp, took 5 minutes to go over details on the phone no deposit required on monthly payments at 9% works out about £47 a month  Edited May 19, 2010 by Gareth W
Conygree
Check it out - it may have an immobiliser. mine is an 03 4life and it's programmed into the key as standard. I have heard if you drop the value from say 8k to 7.9k it puts into a lower cost bracket. Ok I'm 61 and no bumps and its around 300 full comp for me. Good luck
