Floating Chamber
Claygame wont send powder and charge about £15 for sending primers. I found Peterlawman is the best for price I apologise! I have just read the catalogue! How long has he stopped sending? Even primers must be sent 'to a business address'. Is this HSE gone silly? overthetop
Sorry to Hijack this thread but I thought this was my best chance of getting some info on shotgun cartridge reloading. I am looking for just one reload recipe using only UK sourced materials of which I have a good range of components. I want to load some 12 bore cartridges into 2-3/4" parallel tube cases with 1-1/4 oz of No 5 lead shot. There are a good number of recipes around but I am specifically looking for one that will produce close on 11000psi pressure. thanks
MC
Going from my data you need a 70mm PT case CX2000 primer 27grains CSB2 powder Ace trace wad 36gr shot. This will give you a pressure of 734.17 bar which is fairly close to 11,000 psi.

Guest cookoff013
FYI most if not all cases in the uk, are paralelle tube, if you have some american data, then the hulls you want are the "Fiocci" "multi hull" "cheddite" "hull cartridge" often these are called "eurotrash". often they are called high capacity, or low basewad. because we cant get 10 or so reloads out of them they are well cheap to buy unprimed £2-3 200. if you look on all the data for these key cases, then you have the start on what to look for. i`ve loaded some high capacity cases with alot of slow bulky powder, i ended up roll turning the hull, there was 1/8" or so left. stick to the recipes guys.
