Vermincinerator
Shot RWS R50 for years, excellent stuff, never needed anything else. You might want to check with your club secretary before using hollow points. Not only might you be contravening range rules but if you have one of those synthetic rubber curtains as part of your backstop, hollow points tend to cause more damage to them. Ian. Dekers
Everyone will have their favourite and its what suits your barrel as well, Eley do make some decent stuff but my CZ 452 does seem to like American Eagle 5022. My serious target days are behind me but I get very acceptable results with this just the same!!
Vince Green
Really you have to start with Eley Club or Match, Im sure the club you go to will sell it. I would be suprised if they didn't. Later you might want to move up to RWS or Lapua but in the early days stick with what your club sells. MC
It really is a minefield and there is no definetive answer. I use Eley Match EPS, I have no issues with it and it shoots straighter than I can. I know people that go to Eley and batch test Tenex and I know people who use the cheapest they can buy. I bought some Geco made by RUAG from the NRA for the princely sum of £1.80 a box of 50 and I shot a 10 shotgroup at 15 yards which was about 1/8" Lapua Master is also a good one to try although is now dearer than Eley. I have yet to try RWS R50 although I have heard it is so consistent there is no need to batch test, so it can't be that bad
