lee-kinsman
Really great shooting. Sounded quite windy as well, specially for number 3. Did you compensate on your aim at all?
Frenchieboy
Really great shooting. Sounded quite windy as well, specially for number 3. Did you compensate on your aim at all? I only used minimal amount of compensation but because of the conditions and the range I opted for the "Boiler Room" shot rather than my normal "Head Shot"! As it turned out the small amount of compensation that I used was spot on and I almost certainly would have got away with the "Head Shot", put that one down to a lack of confidence on my part. 2-dead-in-the-air
Good video, what moderator are you using on the 17hmr as it sounds very quiet.
Frenchieboy
Good video, what moderator are you using on the 17hmr as it sounds very quiet. I'm using a standard SAK moderator on a CZ452 Varmint with Remington Premier 17gr Ammo and the rifle is now fitted with a Sutter 6-24X50IR scope with a 30mm tube (In the video I was using a Nikko Stirling 6-16X50 Gameking scope). Can I just add emphasise this point that I am not encouraging shooting live quarry with a 17HMR at ranges beyond 150 yards under normal circumstances. You should always make sure that you are shooring within your comfortable capabilities and show respect for your quarry. Shooting at paper targets out to 300 yards with a 17HMR is one thing but shooting live quarry is a totally different ball game! wildfowler.250
Well done may have a go at this myself if it's not too difficult I'll have a look at your other thread on 'how to set up' but do you need a fancy recorder? I'm sure there's an old one lying around in the house somewhere
