bakerboy
Hi Terry Just a quick thank you for a brilliant days shooting today. As always you delivered the goods... SAshooter and myself had a great time and had a lot to talk about on our drive home, like the shot of the day and so on. I am proud of my 5 birds 7 shots record... you must be doing something right! I will post the photos as soon as I can. Thank you PS. On some Berettas you need to switch off the safe after you closed the gun... You cheeky *****r For those of you reading this and wondering why the comment was made ref, Berretta safety switch's, I twice forgot to take off the safety, and both times the bird was sitting on the end of the barrel ,Hentie "kwagga10" was waiting to pick up on the target if I was to miss, that will teach me to swop guns, I think Hentie's 5 for 7 were taken with my gun, never again. bakerboy
bakerboy
Hi Terry Thanks once again for a great days shooting today we had loads of fun as the norm. I've enjoyed the new hide that you've setup today. It bring out a hole new challenge for shooter and pigeons with the 360 degree angle that you can shoot and birds comming from all directions. I had myself almost tied in a knot at one stage. See you soon for more action with the scatter gun LOL! Hi Werner I am going to try the new hide myself tonight, and have a go at the position you suggested, I will let you know how I get on. We had a good day despite a slow start, some superb shooting especially your long crossing bird and Hentie's high pigeon coming around the tree and from behind. I always say that every time you shoot you will have a "favourite shot of the day", one you will talk about on the way home, keeping these shots in mind will build up your confidence and add to your bank of shooting skills. Thanks for being good students cheers bakerboy

bakerboy
I have just put together a group of 6 experienced shooters, with a few more experienced guests to help, in the North Herts area. My aim is to be able to give an introduction to Pigeon shooting and decoying, and Rabbit shooting, both with shotguns and air rifles, to novice/ beginners, maximum 4 at any one time, guns will be available on loan, but anyone using their own gun must have a recognised insurance cover. The intro will last about 3 hours ,weekdays and weekends and you will be able to attend more than 1 session, the cost has not been finalised as yet, the thought is £25.00 but I will take advice from any readers of this topic. The intention is all monies raised will go back into the shoot to provide for more decoys, more guns and ultimately more opportunities for novice shooters. I am away on holiday for 2 weeks as of today 2nd June and will look forward to reading your comments. Terry Hi hentie and Werner The pictures look good, you can see on your faces you had a good day. First picture is myself (kwagga10) with our 'bag'. The second picture is SA Shooter with some of the birds he shot on that same day. The third picture is our 'bag' on our first shoot with bakerboy. We could've had more birds on both occasions, but you know how it goes.... See you tomorrow Terry We bought some 'gaggets' for the shooting, will show you tomorrow. twitchynik
Another satisfied shooter and thumbs up to Terry! Had a great afternoon with him and Alistair (blackla) who brought a number of guns for me try and add into the mix of what gun I should buy. Not sure the decision process has been made any easier but I have some more good things to think about and look for. As for the pigeons themselves. Well.... Safe to say they're as hard as nails round that part of Herts Plenty of them flying around and Terry's decoys did their trick a number of times. Learnt plenty about the art, just need to work on my mount and aim I think....

wyatt
Morning all, visited Terry on Saturday and had a good few hours shooting! Sun beaming down and the pigeons decoyed as requested. Goats were avoided sucessfully, ended up with 12 or 14 down, 2 lost and a good bit of instruction. Don't let anyone tell you pigeons can't be decoyed on grass! Def recomend to anyone who wants a few hours of introduction or even conformation of what they're doing with Terry. Tim Edit: Short write up with Pic Edited September 20, 2010 by timearp

I get as much pleasure watching and helping others enjoy themselves, as I would if I was shooting the pigeons myself Thanks Terry
otherwayup
Terry, Joseph and I would both like to thank you for giving us a great day yesterday. We were smiling all the way home, even with our soggy feet (from hunting through the long wet grass looking for downed pigeons ). The way I normally shoot, it must be down to the instruction Thanks again. Darren and Joseph.

Thanks for the kind words, you both shot well, especially Joseph, the gun was too big but he managed it well, hitting 3 birds before bringing one down, his smile along with yours when you got your first bird and relief set in were a sight to see. You were both good company, as soon as I get my 20g, Joseph will have a free shoot. thanks again, I hope you have now dried out.
