djrwood
Went out on saturday with the better half to enjoy the last day of our week long summer, and ended up at Rutland Water. We sat enjoying watching the men fly fishing from the boat and saw them catch four in about 15 minutes so must be good fishing. Im assuming they were probably trout as all for with given a swift bump on the head and kept on the boat. Anyway i digress, while we sat watching the fishing my lady got the camera out and was happily snapping away at the various things and she managed to get this picture which i thought was pretty cool seeing the footsteps as it runs over the water to take off. Im unsure of what type of bird this is if anyone can enlighten me? Many Thanks Dan

EastSussexLad
It's a coot, a moorhen will have a red bill and is slightly smaller.
