Frenchieboy
Once again I have 2 boxes (40 Cases) of .222 Partizan brass available. (I have been doing a fair bit of foxing with the rifle so I "deep cleaned" it which took a box full of ammo to bring the barrel back again - I will not be making that mistake again!) I am not asking anything for them for myself and I will even pay the postage. All I ask is that you make a small donation to the following paypal account; jacksfund40@yahoo.co.uk This is a very deserving cause for the young lad of one of this forum's members! See the following link for details: http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/ind...122998&st=0 The first to post on this thread that they want them and PM me with their postal details will get them. Good on you, another fine offer!! The bit I highlighted above has been done to death, but I don't get it Frenchieboy, Rimfire or Centrefire, and ALL my guns, take 1 or two shot to come back! I hear tales of absurd numbers of rounds, 50++ in some cases, but 20 on a centrefire is daft, something is far from right. If ALL mine come back in 1 or 2 shots then what is happening to other peoples??? I can use 50-100 rounds down the range, take it home and clean it and shoot a fox with confidence the next day with the next round, and that includes a full moderator strip and clean as well!! I use PRVI .223 55g SP .243 90g SP .308 150g SP 1 or 2 shots MAX, but the first is nearly always on the money, it's very close if not! I clean centrefires thoroughly every use!! Cheers! Maybe I was just having a bit of an "Off Day" yesterday when I took the Bruno out to put a couple of "Fouling Shots" through her and check the scopes. I have to admit that when I "deep clean" my HRM (Which is very rarely) it has never taken more than 5 shots to bring it back so like I said, it was most likely me having one of my "Senior Moments", on the other hand maybe I am being a bit too fussy and asking too much of an old and very well used rifle! Not to worry, the Bruno is shooting where I aim again now so it's no problem (A 1 - 1.5 inch group at 100 yards). I took it out yesterday evening (Far too nice an evening to sit in watching telly) but only saw what looked like on of this years cubs within a sensible range and when it did show itself it was in an unsafe position with sheep directly behind it so I didn't take the shot anyway. That's no problem though as it will be there for another time and it was a pleasure to be out yesterday evening and then return home for a nice cold beer! al4x
Likewise... Always spot on the next time out. I don't clean every time but it is always spot on first shot, the HMR is a completely different matter and in this case after 20 rounds I'd be cleaning my centrefire
