Easy on the coffee there tiger! I don't know why people get so excited about light cartridges- if you like them, buy them. If you don't- get summat else. I like 24 gram cartridges for skeet- they seem to break the clays every bit as well as 28's and the 21's are the best way of introducing new shooters to the sport.

 

The only reason I'm currently shooting 28 gram cartridges is because Brook Bank bought a barn load of Hull Chevrons before prices went up again and I can get them cheap.

I've got to say I was looking at the just cartridges web site this morning and it did seem a bit on the expensive side to me, but I have had a rather busy start to the year and m still shooting my way through the 2000 cartridges I got at the end of last year so I might be a bit out of date on prices.

I use 21g/24g cartridges for a shoulder problem i have,

 

i actually pay LESS for them than i do for 28g cartridges so i dont see where your coming from....

 

I shoot ABT/DTL/sporting and skeet with them.

 

why do you say they are underpowered or are you one of the "bigger bang, better the cartridge" brigade....

If you don't like them, don't buy them. If you don't like Just Cartridges don't buy from them.

 

If no one bought 21g and 24g carts, they would stop making them....

 

Me, I wouldn't buy them unless I had a damaged shoulder or detached retina etc.

I like 21 grams so I use them.

 

As for sporting gun employing people with a vested interest what about the rest of their contributors, of course thy have nothing to gain do they... John Bidwell, Jon Snowdon, Jim Albone, Jason Harris. I take it you are so experienced you disregard all they say as they also have something to gain. In fact if your so excellent and know everything why not start your own magazine!!!!!

You say you are amazed they employ someone who makes money from selling cartridges.

 

They emply lots of people who make money from the shooitng industry, I have named a few.

 

21 gram cartridges ARE cheaper and through my gun when patterned against 28 and 30 gram cartridges of similar design DO produce tighter patterns. No doubt shorter shot strings but TIGHTER patterns. I only shoot clays for fun so dont really care if I miss a few.

 

Do not tell me to shut up especially when you clearly lack the intellect to reply with any meaning to my original post.

If you think JUST CARTRIDGES is a rip off then dont use him... there are other places in the UK that sell cartridges.

 

Cartridge prices are going up due to the cost of lead going up which is down to things like the Chinese using it in power stations which they are building at a rate of 2 per week.

 

And anyway what makes a 21 or 24 gram cartridge ****? They smash clays the same as 28 grams as far as Im concerned.

Nobody is obliged to buy from just cartridges, if you don't like their prices, then shop somewhere else.

I can't think of a fair reason for you to slag them off as you are.

 

I use 21 gms and 24 gms for clays, for price reasons.

Where I shop they are substantially cheaper than 28 gm cartridges.

When I decoy pigeons I sometimes use 24 gm , but mainly 28 or 30 gm cartridges.

These I also buy at the best price I can find.

 

A lot of us use over 12000 cartridges a year, I don't think thats very unusual.

 

I have bought from just cartridges and sometimes his prices are better and sometimes they are not.

A bit like most shops.

 

Inviting someone to challenge you over cartridge prices "in a British court of law" is laughable.

Charles donated a box of 250 rounds for a prizes for the north v south I dont know why apart for good will can see him doing it again for us with comments like this.

 

I buy all my cartridges as he is only 10 mins away from me.

 

I have found his prices fair and you cant send 50 kg of anything let alone cartridges for a £5 like some think .

 

As others have said to pick on one trader about cartridges prices is unfair IMO its a national problem that can only be dealt with if we all stopped shooting for a month and did not buy any like fuel.

 

And before you ask I buy over 12000 rounds a year to shoot pigeons not bits of clay whizzing though the air .

You guys know NOTHING about anything to do with shooting. I know everything so you better believe everything I say.

 

I bet some of you even use 21 grams you complete idiots.
