What is wrong with that, its the best time to get rid of them for the farmer as at the end of the day they are a pest and you are reading this on a shooting forum or am I missing something. Luckyshot
Not sure it's you that's missing something Maybe just a badly worded post. Badly worded post or not it makes out that the origonal poster is doing something wrong "Yea there would be alot of bunnys around at this time of year" and their still is"you know, how many of them were full of young" does it matter how many were full of young ",are you doing some rabbit shooting for the farmer because his crops getting hammerd" obviously he is or he wouldn't be shooting them. Well this is the way the post reads to me.

remmy1100
to answer a question asked i do show restraint where its needed but the field we were shooting is getting hammered ,none were carrying young, none were milky does and all were head shot instant kills sorry if some dont agree with shooting rabbits this time of year but really i should of shot the lot as thats what farmer has me there for but i couldnt carry anymore and dont agree with throwing them in ditch
mick miller
Personally, I don't give a monkeys about shooting milky does anymore, I just don't shoot this years tiddlers. I'm asked to shoot rabbits all year round to protect crops and livestock, in some instances race horses worth a fair old bit of dosh. If a rabbits pregnant when it gets shot its tough. I don't feel great about doing it but it needs to be done. Good shooting either way, nice result with the air rifles too; as we all know its always harder to get a decent bag with an air rifle and your aim needs to be bob on.
