ziplex
good news I got my Variation back and was able to collect my New Tikka Hunter- bad news as I left the RFD some dozy woman ran onto the back of my truck doing around 40 mph- I was stationary at a roundabout- she said she didnt see me (its a 2 ton Isuzu Trooper) and its HUGE No damage to the truck just a slightly bent tow bar B) - no damage to me apart from some whiplash in the neck :yp: her car pushed in bonnet and bumper and an ominous green liquid leaking from the Radiator I think my spare wheel took most of the impact Least I got my rifle Les I had the same thing happen to me when I had my Monteray, (same car), Les....young girl flew into the back of me on the A38 just past the airport. Monteray was slightly dented but her car was a terrible mess, young lass on her way home from the vet college....felt really sorry for her as she was terrified what her dad was going to say, she'd only had it bought for her just the week before They are strong motors for sure. Lloyd90
If you are genuinely injured, discomforted or affected by the accident, then you deserve to be compensated for it! If she hadn't driven into you, then you would have never suffered any of those problems and therefore they are entirely that persons fault, She isn't going to end up paying for it, the insurance is, thats why we have insurance. If it is a GENUINE problem then theres nothing wrong with it at all. People complaining its wrong, but if they had a big crash and missed say 2 or 3 weeks of work would soon be filling out the forms for compensation and loss of wages :yp:
dazza
The ones that say they wouldn't claim are the ones that would be phoning claims direct before they had their seat belt off :yp:
Lez325
I went to Casualty last nigh after tea ( the Mrs insisted) - I had x rays etc - Im fine, my neck is fine- the truck had no damage- on close inspection the tow bar has lost some paint and thats about it- I have some silver paint - so I could re-touch the towbar if I so desired, but probably won't bother- no time off work- no loss of income So, seeing as there appears to be no lasting injuries- I shall leave it at that :yp: Not even a slight twinge this morning- so much so Im off out on the Pigeons later I could as some folk say claim, make a few quid- but I feel that would be a fraudulent act on my part and that is something I wouldnt even contemplate - Insurance is expensive enough, the more claims the more expensive it becomes for all of us B) Les Edited July 16, 2010 by Lez325

But the main thing is you OK and the little old lady is fine. Keep shooting OTH

ollie
Im fine guys just a slight discomfort in the neck is all- will go to Dr's tomorrow if it gets any worse overnight Not looking to make money out of this - not my thing at all Les Glad your ok mate. It mustn't have been whiplash. I had an accident about 15 months ago and got whiplash; wasn't too bad the evening of the accident but for the few days after I was in agony. I claimed for the loss of earnings from time off work but didn't pursue it any further, this I now regret as I get pains from time to time.
