Bigweed
Spoke to them today and they advised i ring back tomorrow and speak to the manager. Apparently they may put up steel barriers between the ranges to stop clays going from one range to the other. If they do then steel shot will not be allowed. Cheers for that, potentially not good news on the steel then having said that not sure how practical steel barriers between the ranges will be i would think they will make for a really bad backdrop and create more of a distraction with the noise :( Jon. Catamong
I think you'll find the barriers will consist of nets strung between steel poles, not solid steel plate, can you imagine the noise.? Cat.

Bigweed
Good, stop being a tight **** and use lead like a man I use lead, steel, plastic and fibre. **** all to do with the price - steel much better for skeet than lead (IMO)

Bigweed
.........but do they not kick like a mule..?? Cat. Chard
He might just be young and not feel the recoil ....yet. I know dozens of old blokes who've shot all their lives and they don't feel recoil. It isn't a foregone conclusion that it will get you eventually. BlaserF3
It get's to me and I don't like it And I also know of some who don't feel a thing, but I don't know why.
JonD
Cheers Bigweed! Looks like it will be Intercomp HV's then I have to agree, 24g steels do work very well on the skeet, don't really feel the recoil through the Urika Teknys As for price, yes that does come into it, £128 per thou for steel vs £180 for Intercomps... the £50 saving buys me 10 practice rounds. A thou currently lasts me about 4 weeks. Jon.
