Spoke to them today and they advised i ring back tomorrow and speak to the manager. Apparently they may put up steel barriers between the ranges to stop clays going from one range to the other. If they do then steel shot will not be allowed. :good::good:

 

Cheers for that, potentially not good news on the steel then :good: having said that not sure how practical steel barriers between the ranges will be i would think they will make for a really bad backdrop and create more of a distraction with the noise :(

Looks like it will be Intercomp HV's then :yes:

 

I have to agree, 24g steels do work very well on the skeet, don't really feel the recoil through the Urika Teknys :lol:

 

As for price, yes that does come into it, £128 per thou for steel vs £180 for Intercomps... the £50 saving buys me 10 practice rounds. A thou currently lasts me about 4 weeks.
