How many bird is it any know ?

As far as i know its like sporting but harder, the main difference is...

You dont have a cage to shoot from, but a ring on the floor,

You can shoot the bird how ever you want to and the ref / other people will stand behind you, eg you could shoot a incomer as a driven or going away target depending on where you stand,

You have to start with the gun down / out of the shoulder, some skeet vests have a line on them, you have to have the butt under this line,

And you can not mount the gun until you and the ref can see the bird, not when you call for it !

There's prob loads more rules but these are the main ones i know of.

Hope this helps.

It'll be 100 bird. From what I read today it will be over 4x 25 bird parcours, with 3-4 shooting positions on each. Each shooting position should have it's own traps to allow shooting at more than 1 position simultaneously. This is known as "The New System". Peg 1 in the squad commences, with the full squad taking all of the singles (Full use, kills marked 1 or 2) first before shooting the doubles. Peg 2 then begins the doubles. Doubles can only be of targets which shooters have been allowed to shoot as singles. Once complete, you move to the next position and Peg 3 starts the singles (and so forth). The discipline must be shot gun-down, with the heel of the gun not higher than 25cm below the top of the shoulder. Choke/barrel changing is permitted but not once the shooter has already began shooting a sequence of doubles or singles. No sharing of guns unless a malfunction has occurred, in order to allow you to finish the round.

Simplez. :look:

I wonder why there is a cpsa levy when the governing body is fitasc (HQ La France)?

Because it's a registered CPSA event? Organised with the Northern Committee? They might use FITASC's rules but it's got jack all to do with them. Same reason you would pay a levy on a NOE Olympic Trap, Double Trap or Olympic Skeet championship, which are governed by ISSF. :good:
