stoggieman
Hi There Try the Warton arms on the Beverley to Hull road they do a 2 for one and have the best steaks and mixed grills in the area. We have our get to gethers there and it is great value. Peter

Peter Had quite a few good meals in that place, plus it looks quite nice from outside (even for a new built place) But I generaly avoid the 2-4-1 deals as had some bad/poor experinces in the past with them. Only recently started going to China Red, thats a great place for food,

If you fancy uber contemporary surroundings, nice food & reasonable prices the new golf club at Kilnwick Percy (between Pocklington & Warter) is definitely the spot to go to impress the ladies :good:

casts_by_fly
Pipe and Glass is 5 minutes down the road for us. We were just there on Thursday, making 3 times this month. Definitely our favorite restaurant in this country, including some high end London establishments. Reservation required to sit in the main restaurant (call 2 wks in advance or so) but most nights you can walk into the bar and find a seat. Picnic tables outside if the weather is nice. Extensive wine list from £15 /b up to £175 at last check. Where else are you going to walk in and find an open table at a Michelin starred restaurant? Black Swan in Brandesburton is another one not mentioned yet. Very good food, good prices, clay ground down the road. If you want to go 'other culture' cuisines, there is great Thai in Beverley, China Red is some of the best Chinese food around, and Ve Raj (shiptonthorpe) has the best Indian food around. Thanks, Rick

Me, rolled up in my beat up 200tdi Disco with dirty great winch on front...........suddenly no-one argued Not telling you $ods anymore................but well worth it.
