454697819
It may well be some sort of placebo effect spending more money than I usually do on cartridges, and this probably merely coincided with me having a good round, however I went to High lodge on Tuesday and bought 6 boxes of these @ £5.20 a box (20.8p each) 28g 7.5 http://www.eleyhawkltd.com/compcarts-superb.html I was impressed with the feel of the cartridge and the breaking ability (I guess that's what you call it), I was shooting from a well used Miroku o/u 12g. I compared it directly with some Hawk competition cartridges which I shot with last time and the Hawk's just felt "bad" Any way, no science behind it however I would recommend picking some up and giving at least one box a try, I have now found my cartridge of choice. Gordon R
Went through a couple of thousand last year. Decent shell, but not so superior to the Olympics, to justify the price differential.
Dunkield
I have used the 8's for a few years, I like the feel of them but they don't make me shoot any better, I will probably try Firsts next time round as Superbs are bit pricey now. I totally agree with gordon, i started using olympics because they were cheap @ £140 / thousand and am now on the superbs because the olympics went up to £150 / thousand and the superbs were £160 / thousand. I havnt noticed much difference apart from superbs are slightly faster and have more recoil. Superbs are now nearly £190 / thousand so i think olympics will be my next choice. majordisorder
I usually shot Olympics too but have run out and my local only had Superbs today so I'll see how I get on in the comp tomorrow. Here's hoping an extra £10/250 will add another couple to the count

First time with new carts on Comp day was a bad idea
COACH
Try the new 28 gram HULL PROSPORT in 8s. They will blow your mind in every way. Edited August 16, 2010 by COACH
paulos
Are the Prosporting any different to Pro Ones?
COACH
Yes, they are a new different cartridge the HULL PROSPORT  It`s basically the DTL300 that has been tuned for sporting. It`s a long range, recession busting, sporting cartridge with 5% antimony, so its hard hitting but low on recoil. Serious stuff this one. Emmsy
and probably serious price to go with it  gonna stick to the FOB's, done me well for the last about 5 odd years
COACH
Pop into Greenfields in Salisbury and find out. I was quoted £160 per thousand and that for a 5% antimony and 1425 fps is fantastic.
