Cosd
You must inform your FAO, maximum time you can have somebody else shotgun in your possession without informing your FAO is 72 hours
berties
Most local fao will say up to a week on a loan then really should be on your certificate,it will be safer in you cabinet with them being away
Shadowchaser
You can borrow someone elses gun for up to 72 hours without putting it on your certificate or informing the police. I would prefer to stay on the right side of the law. Even more so when shooting is under threat and legitimate shooters need to do all they can to keep their sport going. unapalomablanca
Tell him to store his own shotgun. Youve got enough anxiety keeping your own shotgun. If it gets nicked it gets nicked, he will have done his best to make sure its secure so the problem would be between the police and whoever might nick it!
