I prefer the traditional method. Anyone noticed the reduction in ferals in Barnsley town centre recently? I discovered that on Sundays when there is no fast food refuse to feed on they make for local fields to the west of the town where I feed 'em some lead. :)

Over forty so far this month.

Taken away and asphyxiated eh? A well know form of asphyxia would be drowning, i wonder if we should send our trapped squirrels here? Maybe they mean gassing, it's still the same thing, death by interfering with the normal process of breathing. Can't see it catching on in this country myself, although some have tried

Doesn't really matter if you drown in water or co2, asphyxiation still it is and not a pleasant or humane way to go? Certainly not one i'd choose. Maybe someone should test this out by dunking a squirrel in a tank of co2 and calling the RSPCA to see what they make of it?
